  28.     The Clipart Coloring Book and Musical Factory was designed to give
  29. you and your family hours and hours of fun while teaching the
  30. fundamentals of design and presentations.  Your imagination is the only
  31. limit on this all inclusive Clipart & Presentation program. We thought to
  32. include Fonts, Music, and Clipart.  Some of the creative abilities for
  33. Clipart Coloring Book include but are not limited to:

  35. * Customizing a coloring book for your friends or children with special
  36.   messages or a story you create and add to our pictures.
  37.  
  38. * Print feature to print your story or coloring book.

  40. * Paint Program Capabilities that let anyone color in the pictures on the

  43. * Create a slideshow that plays Music in conjunction with our original

  64.            To install "The Clipart Coloring Book and Musical Factory"
  65.      use Program Manager, select FILE, then RUN, select your CD drive and
  66.         double click on SETUP.EXE in the root directory of the CD-ROM.
  67.     Follow any on screen instructions. This will install a group and icons.

  71. COLORING, SAVING, and PRINTING your CLIPART:
  72.  
  73. After editing your picture, just close paint brush and click on YES to SAVE
  74. picture, your picture will automatically be saved to your hard disk in
  75. a directory called COLORBK in a sub-directory called PCX all images are
  76. saved as and edited in the BMP format in 16 colors and maybe printed at
  77. any time from MS paintbrush or The "Clipart Color Book & Musical Factory"
  78. interface. If any printing errors arise, please consult your printer
  79. manufacturer or help from MS paintbrush, or Print Manager in the Control
  80. Panel. If nothing helps you, import your edited or unedited image in any 3rd
  81. party graphic program and resize or resample the image and make smaller so
  82. your computer has enough memory to print your edited or unedited picture.

  86. ALL IMAGES ARE ALSO SAVED IN BLACK AND WHITE - SAME SIZE - IN 3 DIFFERENT
  87. FORMATS - BMP - GIF - PCX. ALL IMAGES ARE IN THE DIRECTORY CALLED <IMAGES>
  88. IN SUB-DIRECTORIES CALLED <B-W-BMP> - <B-W-GIF> - <B-W-PCX> AND MAY BE
  89. IMPORTED IN TO ANY NUMBER OF 3RD PARTY GRAPHICS PROGRAMS - ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

  93.      USING THE "CLIPART COLORING BOOK and MUSICAL FACTORY" interface:
  94.

  96. LOAD FORM:
  97. Click on this button to load a form Click Faxsheet, Speedmemo, and click
  98. cancel you may print out this form. or edit and save to your hard drive. To
  99. unload the form click on load form and select default.bmp and click cancel
  100. to load blank form.
  101.  
  102. LOAD PICTURE:
  103. Click this button to load a picture. Select a picture that you would like to load
  104. and select what position you want it in (1-2-3-4) then select cancel to load.
  105. You may load 4 pictures at one time. User button is for pictures you have
  106. edited and saved to your hard drive.
  107.  
  108. MOVE PICTURE:
  109. Click this button to move any picture you have loaded on the form. Click
  110. on the picture you wish to move 1-2-3-4 and select the units of which you
  111. want to move the image, select the direction you wish to move the image
  112. and select cancel when done, you may do this to any pictures you have
  113. loaded on the form.

  115. EDIT PICTURE:
  116. Click this button to edit any pictures you have loaded on the form. Click
  117. on the picture you wish to edit 1-2-3-4 and then select cancel.  MS paintbrush
  118. will load with the picture you have selected. Color in the picture or add
  119. text to the picture as you wish. Close MS Paintbrush and select YES to save image
  120. this will automatically save your edited image to your hard drive you may
  121. edit any pictures you have loaded on the form but only one at a time.

  123. SLIDE SHOW:
  124. Click on this button to make a fun slide show or a presentation. Select
  125. as many pictures in the default directory and or as many pictures in the
  126. user directory (pictures you have edited and saved). Select F/X off for
  127. no picture transitions
  128. *  You may choose FX-1 for 100 special effects this may interfere with the
  129.    play of your music.
  130. *  You may choose FX-2 for 4 special effects this should not interfere with
  131.    the play of your music.
  132. Select any music you wish to play with your slide show, select Mute or
  133. Music. Select Play to play your slide show. Select QUIT to quit slide
  134. show mode.

  136. NOTE: To delete any or all pictures from slideshow double click on the
  137.       pictures you would like to delete
  138.  
  139. PRINT PAGE:
  140. Select this button to print out the current form you have loaded on the
  141. screen.
  142.  
  143. QUIT:
  144. Select this button to quit "The Clipart Coloring Book and Musical Factory"

  150. ADDING FONTS
  151.  
  152. By using the Fonts option, you can add screen, plotter, or TrueType fonts
  153. to your Windows-based applications. 
  154.  
  155.     1    In the Control Panel window, choose the Fonts icon. 
  156.     The fonts already installed are listed in the Installed Fonts box. 
  157.     2    Choose the Add button. 
  158.     3    In the Add Fonts dialog box, select the font you want to add. 
  159.     You can add more than one font at a time. You can also select all
  160.     the fonts listed by choosing the Select All button. 
  161.     If the font is not located in the current drive or directory,
  162.     select the drive and directory where it is located. If the font
  163.     you want to add is on someone else's computer, you can use the
  164.     Network button to browse through and connect to shared directories
  165.     on other computers. 
  166.     4    If you are low on disk space and want to use the fonts directly from
  167.     the directory (network or local) where they are located, without
  168.     copying the font files to the Windows directory, clear the Copy
  169.     Fonts To Windows Directory check box. 
  170.     5    Choose the OK button. 
  171.  
  172.     6    In the Fonts dialog box, choose the Close button. 
  173.  
  174. For help with the Fonts and Add Fonts dialog boxes, choose the Help button
  175. or press F1 while using the dialog boxes.

  179. REMOVING FONTS
  180.  
  181. If you are not using a font, you can remove it to free some memory for your
  182. applications. Removing a font deletes the font from the Installed Fonts
  183. list, but does not delete the font file from your hard disk, unless you
  184. specify otherwise. 
  185.  
  186. Note:    The MS Sans Serif font is used for most Windows dialog boxes. If
  187.     you remove this font, the text in dialog boxes will be difficult
  188.     to read. 
  189.  
  190.     1    In the Control Panel window, choose the Fonts icon. 
  191.     2    Select the font that you want to remove. You can select several
  192.     fonts at a time. 
  193.     3    Choose the Remove button. A message appears, prompting you to
  194.     confirm the removal. 
  195.     4    If you want to delete the font file from the disk in addition to
  196.     removing it from memory, select the Delete Font File From Disk
  197.     check box. 
  198.     5    Choose the Yes button, or, if you want to remove several fonts at
  199.     the same time, choose the Yes To All button. 
  200.  
  201.     6    Choose the Close button. 
  202.  
  203. For help with the Fonts dialog box, choose the Help button or press F1
  204. while using the dialog box.

  208.                  PLAYING MUSIC FROM MEDIA PLAYER ONLY:

  210. MEDIA PLAYER CONTROLS:

  212. Use the following buttons to perform Media Player functions:

  214. Button    Description

  216.  >    Plays the content of the current media device. 
  217. ||    Pauses the device that is currently playing.
  218.  ¥    Stops the media sequence or device that is currently playing.
  219. |<    Moves the slider to the closest mark to the left, or to the
  220.     beginning of the track bar if both marks are to the right of the
  221.     slider.Pressing SHIFT+Previous Mark selects the portion of the
  222.     video sequence traversed by the slider.
  223. >|    Moves the slider to the closest mark to the right, or to the end of
  224.     the media sequence if both marks are to the left of the slider.
  225.     Pressing SHIFT+Next Mark selects the portion of the video sequence
  226.     traversed by the slider.
  227. <<    Steps backward through the current media sequence in approximately
  228.     10 percent increments.
  229. >>    Steps forward through the current media sequence in approximately
  230.     10 percent increments.

  233. TO OPEN A FILE:
  234.  
  235. Media Player associates the various types of media files with the
  236. appropriate devices and automatically allocates the needed playback
  237. resources when you open a file.

  239.     1    From the File menu, choose Open.
  240.  
  241.     2    Type or select the name of the file you want to open.
  242.  
  243.            To change the device type, select another entry
  244.                      in the List Files Of Type box.
  245.  
  246.     3    Choose OK.

  249. PLAYING A MUSIC SEQUENCE:

  251.  To play or restart a paused media sequence
